L’Oréal Paris

Leading digital marketing from strategy to delivery in 25 countries

(with SapientRazorfish France, formerly Nurun)

Challenge

“Because you’re worth it”

L’Oréal Paris is the biggest beauty brand in the world. Its international marketing services, located near Paris, France, make sure that the brand is perceived as a luxury brand despite being “sold in supermarkets between the ham and the yogurts” (client quote). From a digital perspective, the brand pioneered social networks is is synonym of digital innovation.

For almost 4 years, I was in charge of the whole L’Oréal Paris account as a client partner for SapientRazorfish, leading more than 40 resources (account managers, producers, Strategists, UX designers, visual designers, copywriters, community managers, developers, etc.) and responsible for all digital assets worldwide (25 countries, excluding USA and China managed locally). I was mainly focused on leading strategy, UX and visual design efforts.

We created digital strategies deriving from the global marketing strategy, and applied them differently to each countries needs and budgets. We designed one of the first vertical website in 2011 when "scroll was the new click”, designed and built their first ecommerce website selling 1500 SKUs, created innovative award-winning mobile and tablet apps (barcode reader for product info, makeup AR simulation, makeup looks companion, … ), animated social networks with best-in-class approaches, were challenged on SEO and analytics and globally accompanied this demanding brand in all its digital projects and deliveries.
